Blaziker’s Least to Most Favourite Animated Movies of 2025 (Part 3)

Introduction

Hello once again, fellow adventurers! Blaziker has returned to continue the Worst to Best Animated Movies of 2025! If you want to see the following parts before moving on to part 3, click on the following:

Given how great some of the highlights of 2025 were, let’s get straight into the next best 18 of them!

36. Art College 1994

A movie that was 2 years in the making since missing out of it at the 2023 Singapore International Film Festival, Art College 1994 was well worth the wait. It might feel pretentious at time with endless monologues and art studies, but given the prominence of generative A/I in 2025, this movie feels so important to showcase the true value of human art.

35. Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing

Despite me not being well versed into the world of Hatsune Miku and Project Sekai, this movie is a good introduction into their world. Massive Hatsune Miku fans would be delightful to hear this movie was fantastic, though it is not a standout personally.

34. Into the Wonderwoods

Another Annecy Film Festival 2024 movie that I only got to cover in 2025, Into the Wonderwoods had a few issues on its writing, but you cannot deny how versatile and imaginative the animation is, despite being another family-friendly foreign CG animated movies. Who says family-friendly foreign CG animated movies can only do generic animation styles?

33. Night of the Zoopocalypse (Rating Updated)

While all the 5 Viva Kids animated movies I covered are very enjoyable personally, Night of the Zoopocalypse is the clear standout with its fun take on horror, more specifically zombies and body horror movies. If you want a gateway into horror, this is the perfect animated movie for you!

32. My Grandfather’s Demons

A rare animated movie from Portugal, this stop-motion animated movie is quite a chill and meditative animated movie that has an authentic feel to it, further helped by its stop-motion animation. A multi-layered story that feels elegant and true to its old charm, a rare thing to find these days.

31. Curious Tales of a Temple

Every time I get to see a Light Chaser animated movie, it is normally an exciting experience, and Curious Tales of a Temple did not disappoint. This animated adaptation of three ghost stories written by Chinese ghost writer Pu Songling had its charm, great animation and a different side of your typical ghost story.

30. Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom

Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom was one of the highlights I saw in the first two months of 2025, and it was an underrated gem in my eyes. Such a sweet and well-produced animated movie about a forbidden love that never overstayed its welcome.

29. Space Cadet

I was fortunate to cover this Annecy Film Festival 2025 movie for free, and this movie thankfully deserved to be in that festival. A timeless-feeling animated movie that has essence of Robot Dreams into this movie’s DNA, Space Cadet is such a charming non-dialogue animated movie worth adding into your watchlist for.

28. Dog Man

Dog Man continues DreamWorks Animation’s comeback as despite it having a bit too much noise in its story, this movie is an exhilarating blast, with fun characters and amazing animation. This is an animated movie that is worth seeing for, especially for Dog Man fans.

27. Maya, Give Me a Title

It honestly felt insane it took Michel Gondry this long to consider directing his own animated movie and honestly, his animated movie debut was worth the wait, chronicling his daughter’s various adventures in such a fun and cheeky manner. This is why I considered France to be the goats of family-friendly animated movies as of late, and we still got more of such gems to come…

26. Fixed

2025 arguably gives us 2 adult-orientated animated movies that delivered with their raunchy concepts, and Genndy Tartakovsky’s dream project is one of them. This 2D raunchy animated adventure about a dog about to get neutered is unfiltered in the best way possible, but there is one more raunchy animated movie that delivered its concept better, but more on it in the final part.

25. Your Letter

Now from Your Letter onwards, these animated movies are truly the best of the year, with many elements that make me sing their praises. When it comes to South Korea’s animation, their trajectory can be compared to China’s, as they used to not be good at producing their animated movies with endless outsourcing, but found an identity that works for them, and for South Korea, that would be hand-drawn animated movies that are top quality, and this Webtoon comic adaptation is one of them. Your Letter is damn good, but there is one South Korean animated movie that triumphs it, but more on that in the final part.

24. Savages

The animation studio that brought us My Life as a Zucchini returned to showcase another stop-motion gem about a French girl living with her Borneo relatives, its environmental messaging might be too on the nose and its over-reliance on typical animated movie tropes feel bothersome, but it is still yet another reason why we need stop-motion animation more than ever. It’s just that good.

23. A Magnificent Life

Yet another animation icon that returned after many years of absence, Sylvian Chomet returned with his tribute to French cinema legend Marcel Pagnol that feels as timeless and handmade as his previous movies. There is a reason why Chomet is a genius, because even after all this years, he still got it.

22. Jumbo

After all these years, Jumbo has dethroned Mosley as perhaps the best family-friendly foreign CG animated movie of all time. This Indonesian gem is fun of fun, wonder and top quality that stands out compared to almost every family-friendly foreign CG animated movie in existence. This is a once-in-a-blue-moon moment for family-friendly foreign CG animated movies that show that yes, not all of these movies suck, only most of them.

21. Endless Journey of Love

In all honesty, Endless Journey of Love (aka The Girl Who Stole Time) might be the biggest blindslide animated movie for this year. While this is a fantastic year for Chinese animated movies in general, I do feel no one expected this hidden gem to be on par with the best of Chinese animation this year, with one of the best written screenplays this year.

20. (S)Kids

Considering I covered this movie for free on YouTube, (S)Kids might be one of the biggest daylight robberies of any movie this year. This intense animated movie that has great writing and characters, a very rough animation style that is full of personality and a fantastic soundtrack courtesy of Canadian punk rock band Rare Americans, (S)Kids needs to be sent to be believed.

19. Another World

An amazing animated movie from a country with a not-so-big animation industry like Hong Kong, Another World is a unique and emotional animated movie that blends so well despite their unique elements. Such a well-realised and fantastic animated movie that works so beautifully together.

To Be Continued

Wow, those animated movies are truly something special, but honestly, we still had to reach the summit. Tune in next time for 18 of my most favourite animated movies of 2025, and until next time, see you on the next adventure!
