Blaziker’s Blog – My July 2022 Update

Introduction

Hey, fellow adventurers! This is Blaziker here, and today, rather than talking about animation, I wanted to talk to you on what I’ve been doing for the past few days since I released my latest review of The Sea Beast. The thing is, I am putting my minds in my work as well as to prepare for my next examination in December. However, while I am working hard, I am also playing hard by taking some time off, including a team bonding event to celebrate the end of the audit off-peak period.

And yes, that meant it was bowling time!

To be fair, I had a lot of fun with my colleagues, especially with the audit managers and partners who also joined in on the after-work bowling. After all, I was spending the last six months working on the various audit engagements, while at the same time preparing for my June exam. You may be wondering how I did in the June exam, and I just received my results this week… I passed!

Well, one down, three more to go before I passed all the examinations required to collect my chartered accountancy status, something that I had been working on for so long…

And before I provide you an update on the blog, I had been listening to a lot of my favourite songs on Spotify, but there was one track where I was putting on repeat without realising it. It is a song from one of my favourite bands right now, and they had just released their new single. However, because I had been talking about a certain movie called Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness, which I covered not just in this essay, but also in my full Letterboxd review. It is the song that best represent that animated movie, “Stand Out Fit In” by One Ok Rock!

Blog Update

Ok, let’s get to the main point: Are there any upcoming posts in The Blog of Blaziker?

Well, yes, there are more articles to come, so here are the upcoming posts to look out for. Note there may be some changes in between writing these posts:

  1. Blaziker Reviews Animation – Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (I will be watching the movie in a few days, once I get back to Singapore. Look out for this one!)
  2. Blaziker Reviews Animation – 2022 Animated Movies Lookback (Part 2) (Covering the animated movies I watched from end-March to early June. Here’s the link to part 1.)
  3. Blaziker Reviews Animation – Tad the Lost Explorer: The Mummy Adventure and DC League of Super-Pets (A double movie review for two animated movies I do not care much about, but I will try to have some fun with them!)
  4. Blaziker Explores Animation – Role Models, aka Judy vs Swifty (My first analysis-based essay where I plan to focus on the comparison between Zootopia’s Judy and Arctic Dogs’ Swifty as good and bad examples of writing role models respectively)

Stay tuned as we embark on more adventures across the animated movie world coming soon, and until then, k thanks bye!
